Mexico will be playing in their 5th consecutive World Cup . They haven't looked back after the ban in 1990 . Their best record in world cup is when they reached Quarter Finals in 1970 and 1986 . And they have reached Round of 16 in all the World cup competitions after 1990 .
The Manager
After the piss poor performance from Sven Goran Eriksson , Aguirre was recalled for the managerial duties for Mexican national side. He had managed Atletico Madrid from 2006-2009 and earned them a ticket to Champions League spot . He is willing to take the mantle and lead his side . One thing we can't deny is Aguirre certainly knows how to make his players perform and that he will in SA 2010.

Hernandez made his debut for Mexico against colombia where he made an assist in a 2-1 loss. On 24 February 2010, Hernández scored two goals against Bolivia and had an assist for Braulio Luna's goal. On 3 March 2010, Hernández scored a header against New Zealand, giving Mexico the lead in a 2-0 victory. Hernández netted twice in a 5-1 victory over Gambia . And Manchester United's latest signing will be eager to show what material he's made of this tournamenet .
FP Verdict :
Mexico head start the tournament with a match against the hosts South Africa . They have last years finalists France and Uruguay in their group . This won't be a very difficult group for them with France and themselves going on to Round of 16 . We think they will proceed no more than Quarter Finals .
