Chelsea
In Guus Hiddink's last match incharge he led the Blue's to FA Cup Glory. He leaves the Chelsea camp paving the way for another heavyweight contender - Carlo Ancelloti. Ancelloti resigned yesterday as Milan's boss and today Chelsea confirmed his appointment. It has been rumoured that he will get a transfer kitty in the range of £50-100m. With the Russian press already claiming that Chelsea have signed Yuri Zhirkov for a fee of £18.6m. He is reportedly interested in signing Kaka, Andrea Pirlo, David Villa, Franck Ribery and Emmanuel Adebayor.




Sunderland
Manager Ricky Sbragia has resigned following the Black Cats survival in the Premier League. Sunderland want to appoint Steve Bruce as the manager but they have been told by Wigan that they need to shell out 5m as Compensation to acquire his services. Surprise contender - Croatia coach Slavian Bilic himself declarde that he would be interested in the job.




Portsmouth

Portsmouth have a bid in the region of 60m accepted from businessman Dr Sulaiman Al-Fahim to buy the club.

A statement on the club's official website read: "Portsmouth Football Club can confirm that it has accepted an offer from Dr Sulaiman Al Fahim to buy the club.

"This follows initial due diligence and negotiations with Portsmouth executive chairman Peter Storrie on behalf of club owner Alexandre Gaydamak.

Peter Storrie concluded the deal with Dr Sulaiman Al Fahim in Rome on Tuesday night."

As the news currently is, Paul Hart is set to be named as their manager. Sven Goran Erikkson, has also emerged as a contender.




Wigan
Darren Ferguson, son of Sir Alex Ferguson, is wanted by Wigan to replace Steve Bruce if he leaves for Sunderland. Darren is also wanted by Reading but it is unlikely that the Royals will meet the compensation demands.







Celtic
Gordon Strachan stepped down as the Celtic manager just a day after handing Rangers the Scottich Premier League title. David Moyes has ruled himself out of leaving Everton to join Celtic. The would like Tony Mowbray to take incharge, however they would have to pay £1m in compensation. Reports in the press today suggest that Celtic have made an official bid for Swansea manager Roberto Martinez. The other names in the frame are Motherwell manager Mark McGhee. Croatia boss Slaven Bilic has also stated his interest in the job
